Look out for “Conservative” Groups that don’t REALLY support the WHOLE Constitution! Like ResistNet.com!

Update 12/31/09:

I found the following excerpt in The Articles of Freedom, from the “Continental Congress 09” which resistnet.com promotes on their homepage!

3.   Abolish the Department of Homeland Security and thereby
 return the responsibility for domestic security to the Militias of the Several States;
the term, inherently separate from the State National Guard,
  means “Constitutional Defense Force,” comprising all citizenry
capable of bearing arms, and under proper authority, in defense
of themselves and each of the several States;
 4.    Make statutes providing for organizing, arming and disciplining the Militia and for governing
such part of them as may be called to serve the United States and, reserve to the states all other
powers relating to the Militia;
 5.    Encourage and support, and cease and desist from infringing upon, the duty of the People to
revitalize the “well‐regulated Militia of each of the Several States”.

Wow! They are so unorganized & dense they banned me for talking about “militia”, a concept that they promote on their own site!

End Update. (Full Story Below)

Yesterday I received an e-mail from the “Tea Party Express”, who’s event I myself have attended, so I figured I’d go check out their site since I hadn’t been there for a while. That in turn led me to the site of one of their so called “Tour Partners”, called http://www.resistnet.com

I thought that they looked pretty good as far as their organization & website, & decided to sign up & set up a profile. However after I was finished doing that, I noticed there was a chat link on the top of their site (little did I know that I would later be chided by a moderator there for using it first thing, but we’ll cover that later.)

So I went on the chat, because my wife yelled to me from our living room that Rush Limbaugh had suffered severe chest pains & was in (serious condition) in a Hospital, & to ask people who may not know this just came across the wire, to pray for him. I honestly don’t remember how the chat conversation turned to firearms. I think somebody mentioned it, which led to someone saying something about guns possibly being “taken away” by the current administration, to which I responded “that’s one reason militias are important”.

Well immediately as if channeling Janet Reno herself, the moderator there said “Don’t go there Dan”, to which I responded, “don’t go where?”, because I honestly had no idea what she was talking about. She then informed me that I was not to talk about “militia”. So, of course since our second amendment protects the right to form militias, & my state’s constitution defends the right to assemble a law abiding militia, I was naturally caught off guard that a supposed “Conservative PAC” website would ban the mere mention of the word “militia”, or even the constitutionally protected application of the militia. So I asked her if she knew what the second amendment said, to which she replied that she did. At this point I was a bit dumbfounded I must admit, & I did get mad as several of the groups “senior members” & coordinators began to pig-pile onto me about the rules of the site, & how I’d just better follow them. I can’t remember everything I said, but I did get upset enough to call some of them Rhinos. One of them exclaimed: Ban Him! Just because I disagreed with the moderator.. It was truly a wolf pack mentality at that point, which was something I would expect more on a liberal chat site.

So, being the reasonable person I am, after the moderator banned me “temporarily” from the chat room, I went back to make sure that I hadn’t missed anything in the site’s, Terms & Conditions.. The closest thing I could find to any “rule” banning the discussion of militias was actually quite astonishing for a group that claims to be defending liberty. I will highlight that for you below

11. Posts that deal with militancy such as a call for taking up arms, and or overthrowing the government with any kind of violence will result in banishment from the site. Conspiracy Theories may be deleted with out notice these may include but are not limited to Chem trails, Fema Camps, 9/11 Truthers, etc… Please provide credible links and sources on your posts.

Now the fact that our founding fathers advocated the overthrowing of a tyrannical government notwithstanding, & actually did so themselves when King George pushed them too far, the rule stated above is in direct conflict with both the first & second amendments of the Constitution, & the principles that this “ResistNet” site claims to support. I understand that its a “private site” per say, but don’t sites who claim to take a Conservative political position have a moral responsibility to least honor the Constitution in it’s entirety? I’ll leave that up to my readers to decide.. In my personal opinion I would more expect a rule like that to be found on Eric Holder’s personal blog or something. It gets even worse though.. After a few exchanges with the moderator who eventually banned me from the chat room, & trying to explain to her that not all militias are bad, evil, racist, or in violation of the law, or trying to overthrow the government with some kind of preemptive strike, & providing her the links to the Tennessee laws that say so (for instance), she eventually got confused by the facts, & sicked the site’s “National Director” on me.. In fairness this was after I told them that I would expose the fact that they advocate liberty & freedom on their site, but then brow beat anyone who discusses the constitutional concepts surrounding the second amendment behind the closed doors of their members only chat. Unfortunately for them, that is exactly what they did! Their moderator would also elude to the fact that I went right for the chatroom, as if I was some kind of spy that was conspiring to blow up their little clubhouse with my evil patriotic & constitutional words, & run..

Now are you ready for this? This clown of a “Asst. National Director” of theirs actually threatened to send his lawyers after me for “Libel & Slander.” It reminded me of back during the 2008 Presidential campaign when Obama’s “Truth Squads” in Missouri threatened to prosecute anyone who disagreed with Obama’s policies, Remember that?

Here’s what he wrote to me.. I was sure to save all the correspondence that led up to this before they banned me from the site entirely. To protect his privacy, we have changed his name to Bob Seditionact.. Ok no not really! We’ll just use his real name, because he deserves credit for his Obama like thuggery! By the way, how much do you want to bet that some of the folks over at this website will have to look up “sedition act” to know what it means? Anyway.. Onto the thuggery:

Asst. Natl. Dir. – Bill Turner has sent you a message on Patriotic Resistance

It is your responsibility to read the site rules. I appreciate the threat in writing, about your intent to participate in libel and slander. I will forward it to our attorneys. Goodnight.

The only problem for Bill Turner & his PAC, is that everything I’m saying is true, so his lawyers will have to violate the truth & fabricate some evidence if they plan on suing me! If they do, I’ll be sure to let you all know, because it will be a hell of a scrap even if I need to take out some of my retirement money to put them in their place!

Nowhere in any of the Terms & Conditions that I was exposed to or agreed to on that site did it say that I could not discuss the necessity of Militias for the purpose of defending the Constitution. At no time did I ever mention attacking anyone, advocate a militant assault on anyone, or make unreasonable claims about the second amendment. In fact to the contrary, before the gun discussion got ugly, I mentioned that in certain cases I think that there is such a thing as the reasonable regulation of firearms. For instance, I would not advocate letting a person carry a loaded AK-47 down the street twirling it around like some color guard. That to me would be a reasonable prohibition in the carrying of a firearm. But I digress..

The point is, watch out for wolves in sheep’s clothing who are asking for money, & watch out for sheep in Patriot’s clothing who are doing the same. Not every PAC that claims to be “defending freedom & liberty” or “The Constitution” are really all that sold on it. For some of them, it is clearly a means to convince themselves that they are being effective in controlling their Government, or they are just plain crooks. Representatives of Resist.net stated to me that they are in fear of being shut down if they allow the discussion of militias on their site. I responded to them that if they are that afraid of Liberals that they won’t allow the second amendment to be discussed, then they should pack it up, because they’ve already lost! I don’t claim that this particular “Online Community” or PAC has solely monetary motives, or has done anything dishonest with the money they raise, but I can tell you from experience that the name of their site in my opinion is a complete misnomer. If they are so afraid to allow members to discuss militia on their site that they regulate open discussion of constitutionally sound issues, they are not “resisting” anything but the principles of our founding fathers. That makes them (whether intentionally or not) more akin to the Obama Administration than to anything Conservative..

When I first joined I thought about sending money.. Obviously I’m glad I didn’t. In closing, I’d say that I truly hope this bunch gets their act together, & gets off the fence regarding civil rights, & the constitution. It would be better if the Conservative Movement was as pure in its adherence to our federal & state Constitutions, as Liberals are in their hatred of them..

Some food for thought:

Noah Webster, 1787:

“Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed, as they are in almost every kingdom in Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword, because the whole of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops.”

And a wise man from my Home state, back when it still had sanity in its political makeup..

Rep. Elbridge Gerry of Massachusetts, spoken during floor debate over the Second Amendment [ I Annals of Congress at 750 {August 17, 1789}

“What, Sir, is the use of a militia? It is to prevent the establishment of a standing army, the bane of liberty…. Whenever Governments mean to invade the rights and liberties of the people, they always attempt to destroy the militia, in order to raise an army upon their ruins.”

And Last but certainly NOT least!

” God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty…. And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.”

Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 (C.J. Boyd, Ed., 1950)

I’m pretty sure Thomas Jefferson would get banned from ResistNet.com too, so I’m in really good company! ;)

1997-2007 Texas House Rep. Suzanna Gratia Hupp on the Second Amendment: “The Second Amendment is Not about duck hunting, it’s about the people’s right to protect ourselves from all of you up there.” (Testifying before Congress on the proposed Assault Ban at that time.)

Fort Hood Terrorist Attack Confirmed

I had no doubt before, but I also didn’t have enough proof to scream from the rooftops that Nidal Malik Hasan had help, or at least some foreign input on the Terrorist attacks on Ft. Hood. This morning that has all changed with the revelation that the radical Imam Anwar al-Awlaki that Hasan was in communication with, was killed in Yemen while consulting with Al Qaeda & planning terrorist attacks.

See the full story here at Fox.

It has been said recently that the Obama administration has been stonewalling congress on it’s own findings in the Fort Hood attack, & I would say it’s safe to say that we now know why. They knew that he had terrorist connections, & therefore that this MUST be classified as a terrorist attack that happened right under the nose of the Obama Administration.

While the Obama administration was busy classifying Christians, people like myself who don’t like the way the Federal Government behaves, gun owners, Militias, & even returning US Military Veterans as “potential terrorists“, the real terrorist were & likely still are working right under the noses of the Department of Homeland Security, & the Justice Dept., both of which are under the Obama Administrations direct influence.

Fort Hood was the worst terrorist attack on US soil since 9/11. Perhaps the Obama administration hoped to later on spin this as an excuse for the tougher “Gun Control” that we know they advocate. This development proves once again however that if you take guns away from law abiding citizens, only terrorists, criminals, & government funded terrorists & criminals will have guns..

America needs to wake up & take back control over this lying cheating Government. It’s not just this administration, but even the ones before who failed us. Not since Ronald Reagan have we had a Government that has conducted itself in a way that was even remotely acceptable & honest.

Let us start by calling a terrorist attack for what it was, an islamic terror attack. This administration can lie about it, distort it, & try to twist it to their own advantage all they want, but the jig is up, Nidal Malik Hasan had Al Qaeda ties, & he used them to help him decide how to commit this terrorist act. The Obama administration is responsible for our safety, & they failed miserably, & did not take responsibility for it. Instead, they are bringing more Al Qaeda terrorists onto our soil, giving them civil rights afforded law abiding US citizens, & raising the terror stakes even more by bringing trouble back onto our soil. It’s time we hold them responsible.
